Reinventing this old 1960's vintage caravan into a commercial kitchen on wheels was a labour of love. A hobby of sorts for Dan to tinker with on his days off from the kitchen, as time passed and each new stage of the build came about the concept behind the van evolved. Originally built to fill a void in street side dining and damn good food to grab on the run, the idea behind what we'd do with this caravan kitchen quickly gained attention from the wedding and private event industry and bookings were made before the build was even complete.
The Van Fine Street Food was born.
It was decided that this little van could do all of the above. Redefining event catering by offering fine food with a thoughtful, modern approach yet still humble enough to fit nicely into your backyard or lunch time birthday bash.
You'll find us serving late night sliders at your mates farm stay wedding, delicately placing fresh kingfish ceviche on plates for that end of year corporate celebration, feeding the hordes at your 40th birthday bash in the backyard or in the midst of serving up a 6 course degustation menu for that amazing wedding on a private property.
We love food and we fiercely believe that event catering shouldn't mean sacrificing the quality of food and hospitality you deserve at your event.
We're a time and tested bunch of folks, with a ridiculousness amount of experience behind us. We support local businesses, and our suppliers are a huge part of who we are and the food we create for you.
